Bobby Harris Roping Clinic
|
Unquestionably, Bobby Harris is one of the most respected cowboys both inside and outside the rodeo arena. When he's not roping or spending time with his family, he can be found anywhere between the East and West Coast passing on his roping and horsemanship skills in teaching clinics. His schools are quickly becoming the standard by which all other such schools are measured.
In 1987, 1990 and 2002 Bobby won the Team Roping Average title at the National Finals Rodeo - the super bowl of professional rodeo - which he has qualified 17 times. Among the many titles he has won, perhaps the most prestigious is that of the World Timed Event Championship. Because it calls upon so many skills - roping a steer at both ends, steer wrestling, single steer roping and calf roping - this event invites only the truest of cowboys. In 1990 this event would belong to Bobby as he took home the Championship Gold Buckle. His superior performances continued into 1991 when he collected the World title in the Team Roping Event at the National Finals. In 2001, Bobby became the 38th Cowboy to reach the 1 million dollar mark in his professional career. At home, Bobby is a horse trainer and a teacher and has conduct over 20 full clinics and three week-long roping camps a year. Bobby, along with his two children, Kendall and Ryan call Highmore, South Dakota home. Around the world he is a respected cowboy whose handshake and word are as binding as any written contract. A good father, a horse trainer, and a cowboy's cowboy. Bobby Harris may have achieved the best a man can hope to achieve..
